Kapitan Keling Mosque (Jalan Mesjid Kapitan Keling)

Founded in 1801 by an Indian Muslim merchant, Cauder Maydin Merican, this is one of the oldest mosques in Penang. It is crowned by distinctive yellow domes and has influences of Moorish architecture. The mosque reflects the colorful history and Penang's multiracial society.
