Pinang Peranakan Mansion (29 Church Street, 10200 Penang) The Penang Peranakan Mansion takes you back to the time if the Babas & Nyonyas, set in the home if one of Penang's historical personalities, Kapitan Cina Chung Keng Kwee. Here, the home if a typical rich Baba of a century ago is recreated to portary the opulent lifestyle of these locally acculturated Chinese while offering a glimpse of their many customs and traditions. The Peranakan, by adopting seclected ways of local Malay and later, the colonial British, had created a unique lifestyle which had left behinda rich legacy of antiques and cultural influanceswhich are still evident among the Penang Chinese today.
